Jack's room, post-swimming

Lorne follows Jack up to his room, a little surprised at how easy it is to fall back into this routine. He kisses Jack deeply once they're inside, his hands shaking just a little.

Lorne curls into him happily, murmuring. "Oh, my boy, my beautiful, perfect boy."

"Love you," Jack whispers, "love you, love you."

"Love you too," Lorne whispers. "Love you so much, baby."

Jack lies in his arms, regaining his breath, his fingers moving slowly through Lorne's damp hair.

"Oh, god, I missed you," Lorne murmurs, holding tightly to Jack.

"I want to say don't go," he says softly and his eyes glisten a little.

Lorne swallows. "I'm afraid if you did, I'd stay here forever."

"And you need to put time right." He rubs Lorne's back tenderly.

"Yeah," Lorne whispers. "I do."

This isn't the first time he's felt like cursing Rodney's obsessive genius.

"You'll come back," Jack says with certainty. "You have to come back."

"I will," Lorne says with equal certainty. "I'll come back to you." He pushes himself up and kisses Jack hard.

"You'd better," Jack whispers, holding Lorne's head.

"I will," Lorne murmurs, kissing Jack over and over. "I will. I will."

He's just this side of promising.

Jack nods and kisses him back. "I know. I know."

Lorne kisses him firmly once more and lays his head back on Jack's chest.

Jack strokes his hair and his face gently.

"When I come back," Lorne says, trailing his fingers across Jack's chest, "you can't tell me about this, you know."

"I understand," Jack says softly.

Lorne kisses Jack's collarbone and gives him a squeeze. "I knew you would."

"I know a few things about time," Jack says and plays with his ear. "Evan? When you go . . . don't say goodbye. Just say 'say you later.' Please?"

"Okay," Lorne murmurs, sliding his fingers along Jack's ribs.

Jack nods and sighs and starts stroking Lorne's neck.

Lorne relaxes into him, sighing softly and kissing his neck.

"We should get some supper later," Jack murmurs, but he makes no move to get out of bed.

"Mmm...yes," Lorne says. "Does the bar do room service?"
