There are noises coming from Lorne’s closet that shouldn’t be coming from any closet. Clinking glasses and laughter and talking and…is that music?

And then Lorne steps out of the closet (pardon the pun) ahead of Jack.

“It’s not much,” he says, glancing around the sparsely furnished room, “but it’s home.”

Lorne chuckles softly. "Not goin' anywhere, babe."

"Nowhere to go in this bed," Jack mutters.

"Do you mind?" Lorne asks, kissing Jack's shoulder. "Cuddling close all night?"

"I'm sure I can handle it." Jack traces his fingers down Lorne's arm.

"Mmm...good." Lorne loops his arm around Jack's waist.

"I'm not sure how long I can stay in the morning," Jack says softly. "There's some rule about the dead not staying away long but I'm not sure what the exact rule is."

"Okay," Lorne whispers, sighing softly. "We'll get up early and get you back."

"Okay." He's quiet a moment. "I'd rather stay."

"I know," Lorne says quietly. "I'd rather you stayed too."

Jack tilts up Lorne's face and kisses him. "But I can come again, if you want me too."

Lorne smiles and kisses him back. "I'd like that. I want to spend as much time with you as I can."

"Okay," Jack says softly and kisses him again. He settles back with a sigh. "We should sleep."

"Mmhm." Lorne pulls the blankets up around them and curls into Jack. "You okay like this?"

"I'm okay." He kisses Lorne's forehead. "I'm completely okay."

"Good," Lorne murmurs. He kisses Jack's throat and settles in next to him.

Jack leans his head against Lorne's and relaxes. He takes Lorne's hand.

Lorne weaves their fingers together and whispers, "I love you, darlin'."

"I love you," Jack whispers and squeezes his fingers tightly.

Lorne relaxes against him, and his breathing evens out as his eyes drift shut.
