There are noises coming from Lorne’s closet that shouldn’t be coming from any closet. Clinking glasses and laughter and talking and…is that music?

And then Lorne steps out of the closet (pardon the pun) ahead of Jack.

“It’s not much,” he says, glancing around the sparsely furnished room, “but it’s home.”

"How long was it yours?" He pops the last of the banana into his mouth.

Lorne blushes and ducks his head. "About 20 hours." Suddenly, his sandwich seems a whole lot more interesting.

"Oh," Jack says softly, and then leans over and kisses him. "I'm sorry."

"It's all right." He shrugs and smiles at Jack. "I didn't have a whole lot of time to get attached to her."

"It's still hard to lose a bird," Jack says quietly.

"Yeah," Lorne says with a quiet sigh. "Tell me about yours?"

"Oh, she was a beauty," Jack says softly. "A Hawker Hurricane, Mark II. Light and lithe and so responsive. She flew like a hawk on the wind."

Lorne smiles and leans closer, kissing Jack softly. "What was her name?"

"LF372," Jack says quietly. "We didn't name our planes personally. The bombers did, though."

"Makes sense, I guess," Lorne says trailing his fingers down Jack's face. "We don't name the jumpers either."

"I loved her even if she didn't have a name," Jack says softly. "She kept me safe for a long time."

"You miss her." It's not a question.

Jack simply nods and rests his forehead against Lorne's with a quiet sigh.

Lorne cups the back of Jack's neck in his hand and kisses him. "I'm so sorry," he whispers.

"But look at me now," Jack whispers. "I''m in outer space. Hanging above a planet in another galaxy."

"Look at you now," Lorne says. "God, you're amazing."

Jack shakes his head and kisses him. "I'm lucky."

"Lucky and amazing." Lorne kisses him back.

"You're amazing," Jack whispers and kisses him harder.

Lorne would rather kiss Jack than argue.

That's just fine with Jack. He slips his fingers into Lorne's hair and kisses him back.

Lorne pulls Jack in close and kisses him slow and deep, running his hand slowly down Jack's chest.

Jack moves his tongue lazily in Lorne's mouth, tasting him everywhere.

Lorne sucks gently on Jack's tongue and unzips his jacket.

Jack wraps his leg around Lorne'ss hip and slides his hand down Lorne's neck.
